Australia has some of the highest quality sparkling wines in the world. Although they can not legally call themselves Champagne, the quality of Australian sparkling wine is some of the highest rated in the world. Cooler climates like the Yarra Valley and Tasmania are the main regions of sparkling wine, with Tasmania Sparkling to be rated second only to champagne.
